I wanted to write my thoughts on the subject of boredom for the Bear Blog Carnival February. I think it’s a great topic, and something I’ve been thinking about quite a lot.

So I started writing, and then wrote some more. Still intrigued, I kept trying to shape my personal view on the subject. Putting it in the context of my own life.

And then I stopped.

Not because I didn’t have anything more to say. Not because I found the topic itself boring all of a sudden.

Simply because I can’t seem to write “on demand” these days.

I used to be able to, but nowadays I find it very difficult. I mostly just write whatever’s on top of my mind, shallow or deep.

I’m not saying this is the “right way” to blog. Honestly, I wish I didn’t have this limitation. I love the idea of prompts, and I think they’re a great way to get the mind moving.

If you’re able to do that, go for it. Write your heart out, for yourself and for others.

If you’re not, don’t worry. Write whatever comes to mind, whenever it does. There are no rules to blogging. No right or wrong.

Just blog. That’s all there is to it.

I am surprised you can embed the images somewhere other than Bear. I think there used to be some rules in place that would stop it from being embedded elsewhere to not have it become a CDN, wow.

One clue is that he actually looked at what expenses were and managed them in a way nobody else did at the time. I wish I understood this about everyone. Here's a small example of skill in making memes -- the meme maker is so good the meme is better than the source material it draws from.

I know not everything has been going smoothly all the time, and some things are really hard. You might be tempted to look back on how this year went and just see all the weaknesses: The personal milestones you didn't hit, the projects you paused or hobbies you dropped, all the blogging you wanted to do and didn't, the posts you published and then unpublished because of shame.
